A wind turbine was taken over at the weekend for the British Open Base Jumping Championship.
Thirty of the world's best base jumpers competed in the final leg of the competition from the Ecotech Wind Turbine, at Swaffham in Norfolk.
Base jumping is the adrenaline sport of parachuting from fixed objects and what was once a clandestine sport for a small band of dedicated enthusiasts has developed into the mainstream.
Only jumpers with over 100 base jumps were allowed to enter the championships and a target the size of a tennis-ball was used as a test for their landing skills after a short 10-second parachute ride.
The title was claimed by Christopher 'Dougs' McDougal, a leading Australian base jumper.
